Transition Year Students coaching Basketball to local Primary schools in partnership with Basketball Ireland, Junior NBA and Bantry Basketball club.

A number of our Transition Year Students, all school basketball players are currently experiencing what it is like to coach the game in partnership with Basketball Ireland, Junior NBA and Bantry Basketball club. Junior NBA is a Basketball introductory programme rolled out to ten progressive Irish Basketball Clubs annually by Basketball Ireland and the NBA and this year Bantry Basketball Club were chosen. The students spend Fridays along with a number of Bantry Basketball Club Coaches, coaching kids from four local Primary Schools and their enthusiasm for passing on their knowledge of basketball has been very well received. Well done to Mark, Ethan, Eoghan, Cian, Daisy, Lily, Lainey and Kelly.
