The U/19 hurling squad lost narrowly after extra time to Millstreet today in the Cork Post Primary schools championship. The teams were level at 2-12 apiece after normal time with Sean O’Leary putting over a free to equalise with the last puck of the game.
Two minutes into extra-time Bantry were harshly reduced to 14 men which handed the initiative to Millstreet. Bantry continued to fight gallantly until the end but lost out on a scoreline of 3-16 to 2-13.
