CPB boys under16 basketball team played their first championship game of the season on Tuesday morning in the PE hall against Clonakilty CC. 
Clon were very strong and led throughout the game until the Bantry side showed their experience gained from last years championship wins to edge the game by two points at the final whistle. On scoring form for CPB were Savo Dragas, Daniel Murray, Russel Barry and James Lavin. other players who put in a hard shift against a very big Clon team were Adam Phillips, John Enderson, Kevin Coakley, Patrick Bak and Gary Butler.
Bantry play Ballyvorney in both under16 and 19s next week.
