Cycle against Suicide is coming to Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai on May 4th/5th, when we will welcome up to 1000 cyclists into our school. It is expected that cyclists will arrive at the school at approximately 6pm on the Monday evening where they will enjoy a cup of tea and meet with their host families. You are very welcome to be there with us as we welcome them to Bantry. This is entirely voluntary and community organised event to promote a platform for dialogue to take place around mental health and suicide. The slogan is “It’s ok not to feel ok and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help”.
On May 5th the school will host a mental health event comprising of presentations, celebrity speakers and an exhibition of local mental health services. Promoting positive mental health in our school is very important to us in Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai.
