Discover Cork School’s Heritage Project is a competition which is organised annually by Cllr Kieran McCarthy. The competition encourages students to look at the history of their locality and bring it to life. Our transition year students all worked very hard and achieved great success.
Eimear Downey, Laura Cato, Grace Crowley and Tadgh McCarthy came First in the Leaving Certificate Group category with their project on The Whiddy Island Disaster.
Aisling Murnane, Emma Hurley, Louise Burke and Amy Crowley came Fourth in the Leaving Certificate category with their project on Carriganass Castle.
Congratulations to all involved on this great achievement.
